This song just missed the cut for 10 best Bay Area rap songs of 2011. If you are not a fan of horror movies this song will probably not do much for you, but if you are like me and were raised on Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween movies along with Brotha Lynch Hung's music then horror movie raps will always hold a special place in your heart.
The concept of this song is Cousin Fik has posse of killers, just like all other gangster rappers like to brag about, but instead his group of murderers are famous slasher movie characters. Cousin Fik dedicates one verse to each killer (Freddy Kreuger, Jason Voorhees, and Michael Myers) and it's so much fun to listen to. Plus he sort of changes each villain's story, such as Freddy getting his burns from meth lab explosion, Jason smoking weed everytime before he kills, and Dr. Loomis writing Michael Myers prescriptions for Promethazine (LOL). Love it!
End of the year post coming before the year is over (i.e. in like 24 hours)...

LOL Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThis might be a strange comment and I would hate to run this song for anyone but Cousin Fik sort of sounds like Fred Durst....only better of course.
ReplyDeleteGreat track though.
Edit: Run=Ruin
ReplyDeleteYou've ruined everything, Joseph. Everything...
ReplyDeleteJK, I don't really hear the resemblance, but then again I have not heard Limp Bizkit's music since the year 2000.
